The Hilo Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) and the University of Hawaii at Hilo Women’s Center will co-sponsor a free presentation for the community at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, on “Forensic Art/ Facial Reconstruction” by Ingrid Dean, a retired Michigan State Police sergeant now working for the Hawaii Police Department as a civilian forensic artist and polygraph examiner.

The program will be in UCB-113. Learn how forensic artists generate drawings of suspects and how they create likenesses of unidentified people with clay on human skulls.
Dean has a bachelor’s degree in art, is a professional artist, musician and writer. She is also a state-licensed polygraph examiner and teaches the art of detecting truth and deception.
